We have all heard the research proving exercise not only improves the quality of life but with the right supervision, it can decrease the incidence of heart disease and diabetes. The challenge for patients and providers is keeping the momentum going once the patient leaves the exam room.

That’s why we created HeritageRx, our award-winning, multidisciplinary exercise, and nutrition program provided at quality fitness centers in Kootenai and Shoshone County. This medical fitness program is developed for people on the verge of health problems, or for those with one or more risk factors for heart disease and diabetes.

Our goal is to help you prevent future health problems with a healthier lifestyle—through exercise and a team approach, including work with a trainer and informational lectures by a certified dietician. Past participants in HeritageRx have succeeded in losing weight, lowering blood pressure, reducing blood sugar levels and improving their depression scores.

We have partnered with several fitness centers in the community to make it convenient and affordable to participate. When you sign up for HeritageRx you are committing to supervised exercise at least three times per week for the duration of the eight-week program.
