Katie Woodruff

Katie joined Heritage Health in 2024 and currently works as a Nurse Practitioner Resident. Katie began her career nine years ago and has a broad range of nursing experience. She has worked as a pediatric nurse at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and an orthopedic nurse at the Mayo Clinic. Most recently, she worked in perioperative services helping patients recovery from surgery. She chose to pursue a career as a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide patient-centered and holistic care. Katie believes in treating the whole person by addressing physical, emotional, and social factors to promote well-being.

Throughout her career, Katie has developed a strong foundation caring for patients of all ages. She specializes in managing both acute and chronic conditions while also providing education on preventive care and health promotion. Katie recognizes and respects the autonomy of the patient and collaborates with them to develop comprehensive health strategies that align with their goals and values.

Katie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2015. She achieved her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in 2023.

Originally from St. Louis, MO, Katie loves hiking, biking, and other outdoor activities. She also enjoys spending time with her fiancé and dog.
