Anna Schmelzer

Anna Schmelzer joined Heritage Health in December of 2022 and currently works as physician assistant. Anna has been working in healthcare for a few years previously as respiratory therapist in a rural hospital in southern Wisconsin. She is a now a new PA graduate.  

Anna works in family medicine and loves working with patients because they are coming from many different backgrounds and generations that all have unique stories and experiences to share. 

Originally from Baraboo, Wisconsin. Anna loves hiking, camping, backpacking, both downhill and cross country skiing as well as thrift shopping. 

Anna earned Bachelor degrees from the University of Mary in Respiratory therapy and Spanish in Bismarck, ND in 2018. She earned her Masters degree from Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies in Rochester, MN in 2022. 

A fun fact about Anna is that she completed the Camino de Santiago in October of this year (500 mile pilgrimage hike through northern Spain) with her younger sister Isabel who also just moved to Idaho with her!
